Hi, everybody!
Hope you're all doing well.
I was wondering last time, what if a beatmaker who's "specialized" in one musical genre have to do to introduce his other musical work? I mean, if he is specialized in Hiphop beatmaking, and he wants to make some electro or pop music. What does he have to do, to not disturb his current fanbase?
Do you think he has to build another webpage ?
Have you ever been in this situation?
Lots of question, but curious to know what you think!
Thanks you all for your replies!

um, sorry for my unexpected absence but basically i'd recommend you use a sideproject brand, a seperate alias if you want your brand to remain known for a certain genre.
Personally I've made multiple genres under the same brand but I think for promotional purposes it's better when your youtube subscribers feel they know what they are expecting to hear when they see you have a new track uploaded.
Deadmau5 has been known for a long time for Progressive House but he likes making other genres also, and it did seem he felt pressured to stick to Progressive House even if he was bored of it, but these days I wouldn't be surprised if his fans have gotten used to the idea of him making whatever he wants to under the same brand.
