I like music from all around the world, but I can only speak one language.
I’m just fortunate that that language is spoken in many countries.
I’m just fortunate that people would use translation to understand what I’m saying.
It’s an honour that people would be interested enough to translate to understand me.

The Ethnologue catalogue of world languages, which is one of the best linguistic resources, currently lists 6909 living languages. About 6% of them have more than a million speakers each, and collectively account for 94% of the world population.

Number of languages spoken in the U.S.: 311. Those languages indigenous to the U.S: 162. Those that are immigrant languages: 149. There are 14 million households in the United States where English is not the primary language.
If I could say this in at least 10 languages, I think that will get the point across.
