When Audiozoo was first launched it was not in the initial form that I thought up when I came up with the brand name ‘Audiozoo’. What happened is, the original form never got launched, for various reasons. The current form Audiozoo has taken was actually a second business idea I had, and I took the previous brand name which had never launched and used it for the second business idea.
Business A - Brand A (never launched)
Business B - Brand A (current form of Audiozoo)
So what I have planned NEXT, is to launch Business A (version 2), with Brand B (which nobody has heard yet).
The reason I cannot proceed with Audiozoo in it’s current form is it is too limited by certain problems:
I do not own all the necessary domain names and social media links that would keep it uniform and easy for people to remember. For example, the twitter page is /audiozoomusic & the soundcloud page is /audiozoo_promotions. I want the next brand to be exactly the same in each case. That has been an important lesson I’ve had to learn which unfortunately means a nice brand like Audiozoo is going to waste.
Fortunately I’ve learned from that, so the next brand will NOT be wasted!
That is the major reason why I technically have to scrap Audiozoo in a financial perspective - it doesn’t have to be scrapped from an operational perspective, it can still function as a form of promotion for music enthusiasts on a free-to-use basis. I’m just not able to dedicate ALL my time to it at the moment. I have been doing LOTS of research & learning so many things over the past 2-3 months that I know things I didn’t know back then, so there are too many opportunities i'm now aware of to pass up considering my current financial status & familial difficulties.
My efforts will be for the same goal Audiozoo had, and that was ultimately to allow music makers to have a pathway to a real career with music, through the assistance of various fields such as promotional support. That will be the goal of the next business I launch, except the next one will have greater potential & be able to reach a MUCH larger audience & market.
So, the name will be different, the aims will be the same, but the strategy will be very different. I’m the same guy, I want the same things & helping musicians to find success is still my goal.
However, I’m not going to be super active on twitter. I can be contacted by twitter direct message & I will check on it occasionally. If someone joins the Audiozoo forum I will be aware of it and they will still receive the same welcome & treatment. I’ll still try to do the roster tour as it only requires 3-4 days a month, 6 hours each of those days' listening time.
I doubt i’ll be doing song reviews, I won’t be tweeting much. I’ll still try do followbacks but this won’t be updated every day, it may be a few days behind.
I’ve learned too much to keep operating in the same way. I was doing the best I could do but I can do better now, so it’s not wise to continue with methods that are less efficient than I’m capable of using.
Also I think I should point out, I have been intentionally showing my path of learning, because I have had bigger dreams in mind than I was capable of implementing in the past. I didn’t see the current situation as permanent, or the way things would continue to be, even if the brand wasn’t going to change. Eventually the game would need to step up to the next level & at that point, my tweeting would become more professional.
So with the next brand, quite a few things will be different.
I won’t been tweeting about the situation between me & my father. The tweets will be less emotional & more business focused. As a matter of fact, it’s highly likely that I will be running an automated tweeting facility so it won’t be tweets about my personal life at all.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate the interest you’ve shown in my plans, current & future projects. This isn’t the end, this is hopefully where the caterpillar bursts out of it’s cocoon.
