There are more than I'm listing here, but this is just to give you an idea of what types of things you will need to get started with production. Google really is your friend, but having some experience helps with knowing what to google.

Section B: Advice for new producers & artists
* There's only so much you can figure out from just listening. Eventually you'll have to try it for yourself then go back to listening & compare your efforts to the source reference. That process of trial and error can take a lot of time, and in many cases it's quicker to have someone tell you exactly how they did it.
* Don't be afraid to ask for help. Ask people how they did something you liked. If they won't respond, try searching on YouTube for tutorials.
* If you can, get a qualification in something music or sound production related. Music is a hobby, and if you don't find success through it at least you'll have something to help you progress outside of your hobby & make an income that you can use to keep developing your music.
